Adding AI to a product people already use

AI features work best inside software that already earns its keep. Here is how we approach AI and MCP integrations in live products.

Most AI projects start as demos. The ones that last are built into software people already rely on every day. That is the approach we have taken in products like our own ERP, Mirasoft, and in client platforms such as Solarware.

Start with the workflow

Before choosing a model or a tool, we look at where people actually lose time: repetitive steps, scattered information, decisions that depend on data that is hard to reach. Those are the places where AI can help without changing how the product works.

Connect, do not bolt on

Integrations such as MCP let AI tools work with the data and actions a product already has. Done carefully, the AI becomes part of the product instead of a separate experiment next to it.

Keep engineers responsible

AI speeds up parts of development and adds new capabilities, but our engineers stay responsible for architecture, quality and approvals. Clear quality criteria and deliberately designed data access come first.

  • Pick one workflow with a clear benefit.
  • Integrate with the data the product already has.
  • Measure the result in everyday use, not in a demo.

If you are thinking about AI for your product, the best starting point is the software you already run.
