The product
Course search across thousands of courses, schools and programs.
Our role
UX/UI, a design system and production-ready frontend code.
The challenge
Students, faculty and staff rely on the course search to find their way through thousands of courses. Nearly a decade old, it showed dense information with little hierarchy, while each course carries schedules, instructors, prerequisites, enrollment status and cross-registration rules.
Our approach
We designed with implementation in mind and delivered Figma designs together with production-ready HTML, CSS and JavaScript. The screens grew into a reusable design system, responsive across devices and built to WCAG 2.1 AA.
The result
A first direction was ready within about a month. Since the course search work began in January 2024, the partnership has expanded to a predeparture portal, a student home, a scheduler and services for staff.
